Microsoft used its official blog, Xbox Wire, to share more information about EA Play coming to Xbox Series X and Series S, as well as talking about the future of its platforms, Bethesda on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass, in addition to to demonstrate a new chart informing its general additions.
Just six weeks from today, we will continue our journey with the launch of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Jumping into the next generation of games with you, the player, at the center, we are working with creators around the world to empower everyone to play the games they want, with the friends they want, whenever and wherever they want.
With the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, you’ll be able to play thousands of titles spanning four generations of games, with the most creative and innovative teams in the industry. And it is thanks to these ambitious game makers that there are thousands more to come.
This will be a great time for gamers and we look forward to bringing it to life with the Xbox Game Pass and the incredible franchises from Xbox Game Studios and our industry partners on Day One. The Xbox Game Pass connects people to a library more than 100 excellent games on Xbox Consoles, Win10 and xCloud.
As we announced last week, we now have more than 15 million Xbox Game Pass members from 41 countries. While we will continue to update the library with new games and provide great benefits for our Ultimate members, there are some additions that make me very excited
EA Play coming with the launch of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S
Earlier this month, we announced that we have partnered with Electronic Arts to provide Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC members with an EA Play subscription at no additional cost. Today I’m announcing that starting November 10, 2020, EA Play will be available on Xbox Consoles, including Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, as part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and from December, members with a Ultimate or Windows 10 subscription will be able to download and play games from the EA Play library on Windows 10 PCs.
This means that we will have an entirely new collection of games coming to your Console and Win10, and that all EA Play games will also be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Members to play on Android devices through xCloud.
Bringing Bethesda games to the Xbox Game Pass:
As we share, Bethesda was one of the first to support the Xbox Game Pass, and we will be adding the iconic Bethesda franchises to the Xbox Game Pass. One of the things that excites me most is seeing the script with future Bethesda games, coming to Xbox Series X | S and Windows 10, including Starfield, the highly anticipated new Sci-Fi RPG epic currently under development by Bethesda Game Studios, and the Doom Eternal, which is coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 1st on Xbox One.
We have been waiting for this moment for a long time and now it has finally arrived. We are entering the next generation of games, and it looks and looks different from everyone before it.
With Cross-Play connecting people across multiple platforms, Xbox Game Pass continually brings new experiences to discover, and cloud games making it possible to play anywhere, there have never been so many ways to play with Xbox.
The Xbox Series X | S will be released on November 10, 2020.
