An 18-year-old man from Larvik was found dead partially buried in soil late Friday night.
Police believe the 18-year-old died in a work accident, probably during the afternoon on Friday. He was found partially buried in soil, and had worked with a machine that soldered topsoil, police say.
On Friday, the police first received a report that the man was missing, says operations manager Tore Grindem in the South-East police district to VG.
– Later, someone in his circle of acquaintances sought out a place where he could be, and found him there, he says. The man was found at 22.50 on Friday.
Relatives have been notified and the police do not suspect that anything criminal has happened to the 18-year-old.
– There are things that indicate that he should do some type of maintenance on the machine, and then there was an accident where he got topsoil over him, Grindem says.
To Østlands-posten, he says that the 18-year-old’s family and close friends are in shock after the accident.
