According to the authorities, Valentino Talluto, 35 years old, was aware of his condition and decided to hide the fact that he was seropositive
maintaining sexual relations with the victims. According to the portal, in total, 57 women claimed to have had sex with the Italian and, of these, 32 contracted the disease.
The Italian was also identified due to wiretapping, which allowed the police to track down other victims approached through online chats or social networks.
According to the portal’s information, the crimes started in March 2015, when Talluto discovered he had HIV. In November of the same year he was arrested and had been sentenced to 22 years in prison, however, the court increased the sentence to 24.
