On Norwegian television, we have witnessed a full 15 seasons of the popular love drama “The Bachelorette”, better known as “The Bachelor” in this country.
In the program’s seventh season, it was Ashley Hebert (35) who was to find love – something she no doubt did. In the last episode, she was betrothed to JP Rosenbaum (43), and the couple got married the following year.
Unlike most other couples from the program, Hebert and Rosenbaum stayed together. Now, however, the adventure must have ended for them as well, after eight years of marriage. It is the couple themselves who share the news.
It is on Instagram that the couple has shared the news that they are now divorced. To a picture of himself and Rosenbaum as a dancer, Hebert has written the following:
“It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that after a few months as separated, we have decided to separate teams. We have created the most beautiful children and shared memories that will never be forgotten. “
She also says that they have tried to save the marriage for several years, but that the differences eventually became so great that the best thing for the children will be that they now try to create new, separate lives.
Rosenbaum has shared the same picture, but writes that he has struggled to put it all into words.
“I have written and changed this post a dozen times, and each time I feel the same level of disbelief and extreme sadness. At the same time as I realize that this will come as a shock to everyone, I can assure you that this is something that has developed in our relationship over a long period of time “, he writes, among other things.
Had children together
It is no secret that most of the couples from “Ungkarskvinnen” have not stayed together for a long period after the end of the recording. Nevertheless, the fans had great faith in Hebert and Rosenbaum, when after all they got married and had children together.
The news that the couple would become parents did not come until 2014.
– I’m a little nervous, but we’re really looking forward to it. I have wanted children for a while, Hebert told In Touch in 2014 – at the same time as she showed off the baby’s belly on the front page of the magazine.
In the autumn of the same year, the couple welcomed their son Ford (6) to the world, before they two years later could call themselves parents of two children when their daughter Essie (3) was born.
With Hebert’s divorce, only four couples from “The Bachelor” still stick together. Trista Sutter, formerly Rehn, was the very first “Bachelor Woman”, and after 17 years she is still married to Ryan Sutter.
Desiree Hartsock from season nine is still married to Chris Siegfried, as is Jojo Fletcher from season 12 with his Jordan Rogers. Rachel Lindsay, who by the way brought her men to Norway in the program’s 13th season, is also married to Bryan Abasolo, who proposed to her in the last episode.
Hebert’s break is this year’s second from «The Bachelor Woman». Becca Kufrin and Garret Yrigoyen, who met and got engaged in the program in 2018, broke off the engagement earlier this autumn.
“I do not think it comes as a shock to anyone, but Garrett and I have decided to break off our engagement,” Kufrin said in the podcast “Bachelor Happy Hour,” according to US Weekly.
