The “hula-hoop girl” appeared, last Tuesday, on a wall in Nottingham, UK, and nobody knew whose it was. The suspect was identified, but the doubts were resolved this Saturday by himself: it belongs to Banksy.
The famous street artist confirmed the authorship of his latest work through a publication on the social network Instagram.
The mural, located on a corner of Rothesay Avenue, features a girl painted in black and white playing with a tire next to a damaged bicycle chained to a pole.
Soon after the confirmation, a pilgrimage began by the legion of followers of the “street artist” to the place.
“Everyone is very excited and many people are coming to take pictures”, says Surinder Kaur, owner of a beauty salon, located right next to the graffiti wall.
“Everyone was in doubt as to whether it was real or not, but it is an incredible piece,” adds the neighbor of Banksy’s latest play.
