A person has been killed in what is being called a beheading in a Paris suburb, French police say. The suspect was shot by police. Terrorist investigations have begun.

AFP reported just after 6.30 pm on Friday night that a man had been beheaded in a suburb northwest of Paris, and that a suspect had been shot by the police.
Reuters first reported that according to their sources in the police, a man was stabbed, not beheaded. Afterwards, they have reported that their sources in the police say the man was beheaded.
According to Reuters, French police say the person who attacked was shot and killed, but the news agency AFP reports that he is seriously injured.
Terrorism investigation underway
The news agency writes that the incident took place in the Paris suburb of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine. French police write on Twitter that there is an incident in the area, and ask people to stay away.
A spokesman for the French police says the victim of the inquiry was a middle school teacher, writes Reuters.
