Almost seven months after registering the first case of covid-19, Belo Horizonte surpassed, this Wednesday (14), the mark of 45 thousand infected by the virus.

According to the epidemiological bulletin released by the Municipal Health Department, the capital of Minas Gerais registered 264 new cases in the last 24 hours and the city has already registered 45,102 infected by the virus. There have been 12 new deaths since the last bulletin and the total number of deaths is 1,372. The capital of Minas Gerais has 41,691 healed and 2,057 patients being monitored.

A baud rate covid-19 (or Rt) in BH recorded the 2nd straight drop. The index is at 1.00 and has returned to the limit between the green and yellow phases. In the same sense, the occupation of intensive care beds fell from 38.7% to 35.4%, while the occupation of common beds is at 32.3%.

Of the 1,372 victims of the new coronavirus in the capital of Minas Gerais, 97.5% had some risk factor or comorbidity. The main ones are age over 60, heart, breathing problems and diabetes.
