Brazil has recorded 425 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, now totaling 153,690 in total since the beginning of the pandemic. The number of cases rose to 5,224,637, with an addition of 22,242 in the last 24 hours.

The moving average of deaths is 493, the lowest since May and a 25% drop from 14 days ago. The daily moving average of confirmed cases also fell by 22% in the period, to 20,261. The value considers fluctuations in the last seven days and eliminates distortions between a high number of midweek and a low number of weekend.

The data are from the survey of the press media consortium, formed by Estadão, G1, O Globo, Extra, Folha and UOL, and done in conjunction with the state health secretariats.
