Brazil has 461 deaths in the last 24 hours; total exceeds 153 thousand


The National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) and the Ministry of Health updated, this Saturday (17), the data on the situation of Covid-19 in Brazil. See the numbers from the last survey.

On July 29, the country recorded the highest number of confirmed cases for Covid-19 in 24 hours; were 72.377 new cases.

On June 16, less than a month after reaching the milestone of a million confirmed cases of Covid-19, Brazil reaches the record of more than two million infected in the country. On July 8, the country reacheda corn of people recovered from the disease. Currently, Brazil is the second country with the most deaths registered by Covid-19, behind only the United States.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the new coronavirus has infected more than 38 million people worldwide, a milestone reached just ten months after it appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The number of deaths by Covid-19 in the world exceeded 1 million. On the other hand, more than 26 million people have already recovered from the disease.
