Consigned credit has changed, find out what the new rules are – Economy

The Official Directory of the Union published, on Friday (2), Provisional Measure (MP) No. 1,006, of October 1, 2020, which increases the margin for granting consigned credit for beneficiaries of the National Social Security Institute (INSS). The MP was signed on Thursday (1st) by President Jair Bolsonaro. Currently, retirees e pensioners of the INSS may request payroll-deductible loans that commit up to 35% of the benefit amount in the month, plus 5% for the use of a credit card in the withdrawal mode.

With the expansion, the loans will be able to commit up to 40% of the benefit amount, plus 5% for use of credit card in the withdrawal mode.

The new limits should apply to loans granted until December 31 of this year, according to the government.

As an MP, the rules take effect immediately and approval by the National Congress is sent. ( With Brazil Agency)
