The new third Corinthians shirt has a date set to debut. The uniform will be used for the first time this Sunday, against Flamengo. The match is valid for the 17th round of the Brasileirão and takes place at Neo Química Arena, at 16h. The information was conveyed by Portal IG and confirmed by My Timon.
The team led by Vagner Mancini will play with the shirt that honors Corinthian-Casuals, the British club that inspired the creation of the São Jorge Park team. The model was announced on Thursday last week – see details in the video above.
The uniform, it is worth remembering, brings the traditional colors of the English team and divided opinions of the fans. Predominantly brown with light blue accents. The color pink, one of the team’s trademarks, will appear on the back of the shirt, in names and numbers.
The uniform still has a front cross inspired by the flag of England and which symbolizes Saint George. In addition, the shield that prints the shirt is the one used by Corinthians between 1919 and 1939.
Corinthians seeks the second consecutive victory in the Brazilian Championship. Today, the team is in 14th place, with 18 points. The team trained last Friday and should go to the field with the following line-up: Walter (Cássio); Fagner, Marllon, Gil and Lucas Piton; Xavier, Camacho and Éderson; Mateus Vital, Léo Natel (Otero) and Boselli.
