Brazil recorded 231 deaths from the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours, which took the total to 157,134 deaths, according to today’s data (25) from the Ministry of Health.
According to the federal government, the country added 13,493 more confirmed cases of covid-19, totaling 5,394,128 infected.
Also according to Saúde, Brazil has 4,835,915 people recovered from the disease and another 401,079 in follow-up.
WHO registers record of cases for the 3rd consecutive day
The WHO (World Health Organization) announced today that it has set a new world record for cases of covid-19 for the third consecutive day.
According to WHO global statistics, 465,319 cases were confirmed yesterday (24), against 449,720 on Friday and 437,247 on Thursday.
Nearly half of Saturday’s new cases were recorded in the WHO Europe region, with a record 221,898 in one day.
