Cruzeiro pays Willian’s purchase debts and awaits end of FIFA sanction


Cruzeiro announced today by means of a note on its official website that it paid the debts related to the transfer of Willian Bigode and pending matters with Ramon Ábila e the commission of Portuguese coach Paulo Bento.

Payments refer to processes running at FIFA. Cruzeiro paid FC Zorya, from Ukraine, R $ 9.2 million related to the sale of striker Willian Bigode, today at Palmeiras. The values, according to the club, already include taxes, in addition to fines and Fifa costs, in the amount of R $ 328 thousand.

The club says it now awaits the cancellation of the sanction imposed by FIFA on the club, which makes it impossible to register new players.

Cruzeiro also paid R $ 716 thousand to Argentine striker Ramón Ábila, in addition to a R $ 29 thousand fine at FIFA. The payment of debts with coach Paulo Bento and his coaching staff was R $ 454 thousand, plus R $ 58.3 thousand in fine and costs of the process for FIFA.

According to the Sports, businessman Pedro Lourenço would make a financial contribution to guarantee the operation’s commitments to guarantee Felipão’s work.
