Seven years after the end, the series “Dexter” will return to the small screen for a 10-episode miniseries. The announcement was made by the North American channel Showtime this Wednesday, October 14th.
According to the information shared, the new episodes will continue the eighth and final season, which aired in 2013. Actor Michael C. Hall will continue to assume the main role, returning to play the serial killer who works as a forensic analyst.
“We would only recover this unique character if we could find a creative approach that was worthy of the brilliance of the original series. I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can’t wait to film and show it to the world,” said Gary. Levine, president of Showtime.
“Dexter” featured eight seasons, broadcast between 2006 and 2013. The new episodes are set to debut in 2021.
