DF registers 565 new cases and 13 deaths this Friday

According to an epidemiological bulletin published this Friday (10/23) by the Health Department, the Federal District reached 208,235 cases of the new coronavirus, 565 more than in the previous day. Of this total, 198,457 (95.3%) recovered and 3,613 (1.8%) died. Another 13 deaths were recorded by covid-19.

Regarding the place of residence of the infected, 87.7% (182,535) live in the Federal District and 8.3% (17,267) live in other units of the Federation, with 14,343 people from Goiás, 2,924 from other states and 8,433 under investigation.

Of the 3,613 deaths recorded in Brasília, 287 were from other units of the Federation: Goiás (268), Amapá (2), Bahia (3), Minas Gerais (7), Rio de Janeiro (3), São Paulo (1), Tocantins (1), Roraima (1) Mato Grosso (1).

The virus has a higher incidence in the female population, with 112,666 cases. However, men are the ones who most die from the disease (2,103 deaths). The age groups most affected are 30 to 39 years old and 40 to 49 years old, respectively.

Currently, the lethality of covid-19 in the Federal District is 1.8%, while the mortality rate is 109 per 100 thousand inhabitants. The highest lethality by age group is in the group of 80 or more.
