After the governor of São Paulo, João Doria, announced on Friday (16) that vaccination against Covid-19 will be mandatory in the state, several people used social media to protest. On the same date, Médecins Pela Liberdade published several tweets against Doria’s statements.
– We at Médicos Pela Liberdade, especially those residing in São Paulo, declare total resistance to the supposed mandatory vaccination against the Chinese virus, even more so with a vaccine produced at the touch of a button, without any study in the medium and long term – declared.
The post was praised by federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro.
Doria’s announcement was made during a press conference at Palácio Bandeirantes. According to him, only people with a medical certificate will be free to receive the immunizer.
Currently, the São Paulo government, through the Butantan Institute, is working in partnership with the Chinese laboratory Sinovac, which is developing CoronaVac.
