Hoffenheim – Borussia Dortmund 0-1

Borussia Dortmund struggled to score in the away match against Hoffenheim on Saturday.

When it was still 0-0 after 64 minutes, Erling Braut Haaland was substituted for another star shot, Jadon Sancho. And he did not spend much time marking himself.

Ten minutes after the substitution, Jærbuen was on the chopping block. The ball was then kicked through to the back room and to Haaland, who played it across to Marco Reus, who could easily put the ball in the empty cage.

Despite the fact that he got a bang as he sent the goal-scoring pass away, Jærbuen marked himself several times in Hoffenheim. Haaland got two good opportunities just after the goal. The first he put just outside the post, the second slammed into the post and out.

The home team also had great chances, without being able to outsmart Marwin Hitz in the Dortmund goal.

Thus, Dortmund won 1-0 and is in second place in the Bundesliga, behind Alexander Sørloth’s club Leipzig. Sørloth came into the final minutes of Lepizig’s 2-0 victory against Augsburg.

– We had many good players on the bench today, and many good ones on the field. When we have that quality, we expect them to decide matches, and they did today, says Dortmund player Thomas Delaney in a Viasat-broadcast interview, reproduced by TV 2.

Haaland himself comments on the victory as follows on Twitter:
