This Saturday (17th), Dourados will have the “D” day of vaccination, with emphasis on the three campaigns in force in October. The Immunization Nucleus of the Municipal Health Department highlights that the assistance will be for the National Polio Vaccination Campaign (children from 1 to 5 years old), National Multivaccination Campaign to update the vaccination booklet for children and adolescents up to 15 years old. and National Measles Vaccination Campaign (population between 20 and 49 years old).
According to the Immunization Nucleus, the objective is to serve as many people as possible, with attention to the necessary care in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
The “D” day will be open from 8 am to 5 pm at the health units of Izidro Pedroso, Vila Rosa, Seleta, Novo Horizonte, Altos do Indaiá, Idelfonso Pedroso, Parque das Nações II, Cuiabazinho and Maracanã.
In the health units of the districts of Vila Vargas, Ithaum, Vila Formosa / Macaúba the service will be from 8 am to 1 pm.
The campaigns aim to reduce the risk of reintroducing several diseases in the country, in addition to providing access to vaccines, updating the vaccination situation, increasing vaccination coverage, reducing the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases and contributing to the control, elimination and / or eradication of these diseases.
The actions of this campaign continue this month in Dourados, through the services of Primary Health Care (Health Units) in conjunction with the Health Surveillance (Immunization Center). During the week, the health units are able to assist children and adolescents in their routine of care, from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 5 pm, with the exception of the Cachoeirinha, Vila Índio and Santo André units, which have their care as a reference in influenza syndromes.
