The second wave of the new coronavirus that reaches Europe reaches the region at a time when more than 250 thousand deaths and 7.3 million infected by the disease
247 – Europe recorded more than 250 thousand deaths due to coronavirus until this Sunday (18), according to a survey by France Presse released by G1. The figure is equivalent to one fifth of all Covid-19 deaths worldwide.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 250,030 confirmed deaths in Europe – Brazil alone has almost 155 thousand deaths. So far, there have been more than 7.3 million cases of the disease in Europe – 4.6 million confirmed cases in Brazil. Most deaths are concentrated in five countries:

- Italy (36,543)
- Spain (33,775)
- France (33,392)
- Russia (24,187)
In the past week alone, more than 8,000 people have died from Covid-19 in the region. The continent, which has already been identified as the epicenter of the pandemic in the world, has again taken tough measures to contain a further advance of the disease.
