Former gymnast athlete from the Brazilian rhythmic gymnastics team Ana Paula Scheffer, 31, was found dead at home, this Friday (10/16), in Toledo, Paraná. The suspicion is that she has had a heart attack.
Ana Paula won a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, in 2007. Currently, she worked as a rhythmic gymnastics technician in Cascavel.
The Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation (CBG) lamented the athlete’s death. “She is one of the athletes who built our rhythmic gymnastics, which turned her into a source of great pride for Brazilians. In addition to inspiring, she had an important job of training new athletes in Paraná. She leaves too soon, but will not be forgotten. My feelings to family and friends “, he said.
