Like the Bolsonaro family, Chico Rodrigues (DEM-RR), deputy government leader in the Federal Senate, seems to like to use cash.
So much so that the Federal Police claims to have found a handful in his underwear and another between his buttocks, this Wednesday (14), in operation against the diversion of public health resources.
Now, the PF wants to know if values that would be used to prevent people from dying in the pandemic were between the legs of one of Bolsonaro’s representatives in the upper house of the National Congress.
According to the agents, about R $ 30,000 were found in Rodrigues’ house and, part of it, in the senator himself. The PF did not report on money laundering.
The Desvid-19 operation was carried out by the Federal Police and the Comptroller General of the Union, with warrants issued by Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, of the Federal Supreme Court. The information was originally published by Crusoé magazine.
There are so many ironies embedded in this story that it will certainly go into the Senate proceedings.
First, in a speech on October 7, the president stated: “I ended Lava Jato. Why is there no more corruption in the government”. This Wednesday (14th), he brought up the subject again, saying that if someone walks outside the line, he will take “a flying woman in the neck”. The operation showed that the problem was further down.
Second, at the already iconic ministerial meeting on April 22, the president complained about political opponents, saying that “what the guys want is our hemorrhoid”. Political analysts who pointed this out as further evidence that he and people in his immediate circle had anal fixation were heavily attacked by his fans.
Third, Bolsonaro was criticized for launching the R $ 200 bill. At the time, one of the possibilities raised was that this would favor the transportation of illegal money, including underwear. Bolsonaristas said that was the culmination. No one knows whether the PF found maned wolves, groupers or jaguars in the senator.
“It’s almost a stable union, huh Chico?”
Not to mention that, in a video that circulates on social networks, Bolsonaro played with the long period he spent with Chico Rodrigues, in the Chamber of Deputies, calling the period “almost a stable union”. In the images, the senator comments that the president “is resuming morality”.
On March 31, 2016, then-deputy Bolsonaro criticized governments with allies caught with money in their underwear. “I want to say to the leader of the PT, who recently passed through this gallery, that coalition presidentialism is not MMA, no! It is not throwing the Ministry up and stuffing money in the underwear of a parliamentary advisor, no!” He was referring to the case of an aide who was spotted, in July 2005, with dollars in underwear at an airport.
Ironically, deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP) called deputy José Guimarães (PT-CE) “deputy of the cuecão” more than once – which indicates the nickname he will give to Chico Rodrigues, if he is consistent.
“I have a clean past,” said the senator in a note. He said he trusts the courts and will prove that he is not involved in any wrongdoing.
The day began with the debate on the extension of pre-trial detention and the judgment of the Supreme Court on the André do Rap case. It ended with the hashtag #PropinaNaBunda in Twitter trending topics.
It is worth remembering that the Public Ministry is also keeping an eye on the cracks of another senator, Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ), and his former adviser Fabrício Queiroz.
