The federal government now installs, in a meeting in Planalto, the Chamber of Policies for National Integration and Regional Development.
The group brings together Rogério Marinho, Paulo Guedes and the palace ministers: Luiz Eduardo Ramos, Jorge Oliveira, Augusto Heleno and Braga Netto.
The creation of the chamber was foreseen in a decree signed by Jair Bolsonaro in May 2019. Ministers have to establish a National Regional Development Policy (PNDR), to “reduce regional economic and social inequalities”.
According to the Ministry of Regional Development (MDR), the discussions are unrelated to Pró-Brasil, a project coordinated by the Casa Civil for economic recovery.
