Guitarist Eddie Van Halen, one of the biggest and most influential names in rock history, left us last Tuesday (October 6th). The musician, who was 65, had been battling cancer for years and unfortunately lost the battle. The information was confirmed by his son Wolfgang and published on Whiplash.net.

Legendary Eddie Van Halen dies at 65
The sad and unexpected loss generated a lot of commotion and tributes, made by fans and companions from the world of music. Among the musicians who paid tribute to the unforgettable Eddie, is another six-string giant: Jimmy Page.
LED guitarist ZEPPELIN posted two photos on his Instagram profile, one with Eddie playing live and one of his legendary Frankenstein guitar, with the following caption: “It is with great sadness that I heard Eddie Van Halen’s passing. He was the man: he was the pioneer of a stunning guitar technique with good taste and elegance that I always felt put him above his imitators. It was nice to see him presented at the Met’s Play It Loud exhibition [Metropolitan Museum of Art, localizado em Nova York, EUA]. R. I. P. Eddie”.
