Health Department confirms 11 more deaths and 728 cases in 24 hours

The Federal District recorded 11 new deaths due to the covid-19 this Thursday (10/15). With the update of the last 24 hours, the capital reached the mark of 3,499 deaths and 202,786 cases of contamination by the new coronavirus. Among these, there are 193,373 recovered and 5,914 active cases. The information is from the Health and Public Safety departments.

The deaths confirmed today occurred between July 23 and October 14. All the victims died in hospitals in the Federal District, but two were residents of the surroundings. Most of them were men (6), people over 60 (8) and patients with other diseases, which worsened the clinical condition (10).

The city with the most diagnoses for covid-19 is Ceilândia (25,081), followed by Taguatinga (16,832), Plano Piloto (16,048) and Samambaia (13,002). In the Federal District, women make up the majority of patients (54.1%), but men die more as a result of the disease (58.4%). In addition, 85.4% of DF victims had comorbidities such as cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders and lung diseases.
