To increase vaccination coverage in the country, the so-called D-Day of national mobilization is being held this Saturday (17th) in all health units, aimed at children and adolescents under 15 years old.
This public will have the opportunity to update the booklet with up to 18 types of vaccines, including those for polio, measles, mumps, yellow fever, rubella and hepatitis A and B. The posts will be open until 5 pm.
According to Josianne Gusmão, coordinator of the Immunization Program at the Minas Gerais State Department of Health, the expectation is to vaccinate 95% of the 4.45 million children in this age group in the state.
According to the Ministry of Health, the number of unvaccinated people has grown in recent years. With that, diseases that were already eliminated in Brazil returned to be a health problem.
The multivaccination campaign started on October 5 and will continue until 30 of this month. The lack of a card does not prevent vaccination.
