Simone Giertz is a renowned 29-year-old Swedish inventor who has also become a professional YouTuber, currently gathering more than 2 million subscribers on her channel. His latest invention is a big deal, having built the perfect gadget for his dog to be able to take off selfies!
This creation was made in partnership with Lego so the whole gadget is built using Lego pieces. Even the mechanism that allows the canine to take selfies is done using the Lego Mindstorms kit.
Basically, Giertz managed to build a photo booth for his dog, where he only needs to press a pedal (made in Lego) to activate the whole mechanism. While the dog receives a reward immediately and the GoPro is activated which takes a photo.
As you might expect, the whole mechanism took some time to get on point, even having to change some components to ensure its correct functioning. However, the final product is simply brilliant and, although it is not that simple, it can be a fantastic project for these quarantine times.
Lego kits are getting more advanced and the limitations are getting smaller
Over the years, Lego has presented an incredible evolution of its products, bringing more and more interactive kits that really foster the creativity and logical thinking of the youngest (and not only!).
In addition to the base packages you can buy, they also have other products that are perfect for creating your own projects. Basically, with a good wave of creativity and persistence, the sky is the limit in what you can do with all Lego products.
