Think Pink Campaign: how to do your part against breast cancer

Throughout the Pink October, we have already brought several contents on the prevention of breast cancer – and more information for patients of the disease. In this context, you may have asked yourself how to do your part and help in the fight against the type of cancer that most affects women in Brazil.

In addition to taking care of yourself, with frequent self-examination and mammography always up to date, there are campaigns that work to raise awareness and fight breast cancer, such as Think Pink. If diagnosed and treated early, the chances of a cure are up to 95%.

Since 2009, the initiative has been present in several cities in the country, providing better information to the population on the subject and offering mammography exams free of charge. It is promoted by the NGO Orientavida, which, since its foundation, aims to “solve the vulnerability of women and low-income families through the training of female labor and income generation”.

In total, more than 2.5 million women were impacted by the campaign. In addition, more than 8,000 mammograms were performed and more than 810,000 folders explanatory notes distributed. The project also organized walks and runs in more than 50 Brazilian municipalities. Learn how to contribute!

To support the cause and still have a new accessory, which is a charm, you can purchase the Good Bracelet on here. Beyond beauty, it carries a great social responsibility, as it is produced by the artisans of the Geração de Renda project, bringing work and sustenance to many Brazilians.

Each bracelet costs R $ 35, with three different models to choose from. According to the NGO Orientavida, for every 12 bracelets sold, a mammogram is donated to women who are waiting in line for the exam.
