This Thursday (15), LG presented its new NanoCell Smart TVs for the Brazilian market. The televisions arrive with models from 49 to 86 inches, divided into six series: Nano96, Nano95, Nano90, Nano86, Nano81 and Nano79. They arrive about two months after the launch of OLED CX and GX.
The highlights are for the first two lines of the list, which have 8K resolution – the first of the brand with this technology in Brazil. According to the general manager of television products at LG Electronics, Igor Krauniski, the main differential of the line is the presence of uniform 1 nanometer nanoparticles.
“This feature allows for more realistic, vibrant and accurate color reproduction than other conventional LCD TVs.”

With the 2020 NanoCell line, LG promises to offer levels of depth and detail in dark scenes, in order to make it possible to view virtually invisible elements on ordinary LCD models. Televisions also have lighting control with more natural tones for scenes with a strong light source.
The brand’s Smart TVs still have WCG – a wide range of colors – to display a wider range of nuances and make images more realistic. Altogether, there are more than 1 billion colors available to reproduce. In addition, the devices seek to deliver contrast with the cinematic experience, through the Filmmaker mode.
The new NanoCell TVs feature Dolby Vision IQ technology, to go beyond HDR and intelligently adjust the screen’s brightness, color and contrast frame by frame. Dolby Atmos delivers high quality audio for a more immersive feel.
To top it off, there are AMD FreeSync technologies to provide gamers with a more fluid gaming experience, and Eye Comfort, which nearly halves the blue light emission on devices.
Connectivity and hardware
In connectivity, there is the integration with personal assistants in Portuguese – Google Assistant and Alexa on board – and the possibility of controlling the TV via the Apple Home Kit and Alexa. The ThinQ AI platform still manages to allow voice commands “Hands Free” on the 8K lines – Nano95 and Nano96.
The models of the two 8K series arrive with the α (Alpha) 9 Gen 3 AI processor and two 4K models (NanoCell 90 and NanoCell86) operate with the α (Alpha) 7 Gen 3 AI. The components use deep learning and Artificial Intelligence to improve image and sound quality.
