With the figures presented today, the number of positive new coronaviruses in Italy, since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, jumped to 381,602


Italy registered this Thursday (15) more 8,804 cases of infection by new coronavirus, which represents, for the second consecutive day, the record of propagation of the pathogen that causes covid-19, according to data presented by the country’s Ministry of Health.

In yesterday’s bulletin, the number of reported cases was 7,332. Until then, the biggest mark had been March 21, when another 6,557 infections were counted.

With figures presented today by local authorities, the number of positive new coronaviruses in Italy since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic has jumped to 381,602.

In addition, the Ministry of Health indicated that 83 deaths from covid-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, almost double the previous day, when they were 43, which makes the total reach 36,372.

Currently, there are almost 5,800 people admitted to hospitals in Italy because of the infection with the new coronavirus, of which 586, which is 47 more than yesterday, are in intensive care units.

The Lombardy region, the epicenter of the country’s pandemic, is experiencing a new wave of spread. Today’s bulletin contains 2,067 cases of infection. Following are the regions of Campania (1,127) and Piemonte (1,033).
