Jeff Bridges, actor of “The Great Lebowski”, announced today that he is treating a lymphoma – a cancer in the lymphatic system. He quoted his character in the film to tell the news to fans:
“As O Cara would say … New shit came up. I was diagnosed with lymphoma. Despite being a serious disease, I feel lucky to have a great team of doctors and a good prognosis. I started the treatment and I’m going keep them updated. “
“I am very grateful for the love and support of my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and wishes for improvement.”
The actor ended with a request to the fans: “And while I have your attention, please remember to vote. We are all in this together. Love, Jeff”.
