Another death by Covid-19 was registered in Juiz de Fora. The death occurred on Saturday (17) was announced by the City in the municipal bulletin this Sunday (18).
Altogether, they are 248 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, according to this Sunday’s bulletin. The death this time occurred in a 48-year-old woman, who had obesity and other comorbidities.
THE The municipality has not registered new confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in the last 48 hours and the total number of cases remains at 6,647 until this Sunday, according to the Municipal Administration.
The data also show that the occupancy rate of beds in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for the disease in the public network is 71,68%.

- Deaths: the city has 248 deaths caused by the disease and none under investigation; there was no change from the previous bulletin;
- Confirmed cases: the municipality has 6,647 positive cases of the disease; there have been no changes since the last daily report;
- Investigative cases: 26 were notified suspects in the past 24 hours, in relation to the last newsletter. Juiz de Fora has, in all, 24.004 investigating cases since the beginning of the pandemic;
- Discarded cases: the City Hall of Juiz de Fora did not report the number of cases that were ruled out since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the City Hall platform, 126 patients with symptoms related to Covid-19 are in hospital units in the city. Of these, 54 in ICUs and 72 patients in the wards.
According to the Administration’s data, 73,63% of the ICU beds are occupied in the Municipal Public System, and not all patients have Covid-19. The city has 273 intensive care beds, 173 of which are provided by the Unified Health System (SUS).
In July, the City of Juiz de Fora released for the first time the number of cured of Covid-19 in the city since the beginning of the municipal bulletin: 5.810 recovered people. The information is updated every Tuesday.
