Sertanejo, who is paired with Gian, would owe more than R $ 1 million, after the termination of the musician’s contraction with the companies DWJ Shows and Produtora 10, in 2016
The São Paulo court ordered the attachment of the singer Giovani’s fee, who is partnering with Gian, for the payment of a debt that would amount to more than R $ 1 million, after the termination of the musician’s contraction with the companies DWJ Shows and Producer 10, in 2016.
The information was released by columnist Fábia Oliveira, of the newspaper O Dia, and confirmed by the report. The musician’s adviser said that “the parties are already in advanced negotiations to finalize the process, and the draft agreement is being prepared for presentation to the court”.
According to the lawsuit, which runs at the 33rd Civil Court of São Paulo, Giovani should have paid a fine of R $ 397,154.19 for the termination of his contract with the two companies in February 2016. As the amount was not paid, DWJ Shows and Produtora 10 filed a lawsuit and the parties signed an agreement in 2017.
Again, the amount agreed in the agreement was not paid, which led the Court to determine, this year, the attachment of 30% of the fee for the shows of the duo Gian and Giovani, regardless of who the contractor is. The passport suspension and driver’s license suspension measures were not followed.
According to columnist Fábia Oliveira, Giovani’s defense even argued, in the course of the process, that the sertanejo would not have a school level to proceed with the negotiations. The report tried to contact DWJ Shows and Producer 10 on Thursday morning (15), but without success.
Gian and Giovani, who are from Franca (401 km from São Paulo), started their careers in 1998 and took a break in 2014, when Gian, 51, suffered a stroke (stroke). They announced their return in August 2018, according to Giovani, following a request from his father.
