The EU’s railway package could be one of the hottest political issues this autumn. Professor of jurisprudence believes that Minister of Transport and Communications Knut Arild Hareide “misleads” the Storting about the EU’s influence.

“Sensational” and “misleading”. These words are used by professor of law Christoffer C. Eriksen and research fellow Nils Gunnar Skretting about answers the Minister of Transport and Communications Knut Arild Hareide (KrF) has given to the Storting.

In a debate post in Aftenposten, the two suggest that the government has not learned much from the social security scandal. They believe that “the tradition of failing to provide information on EEA legal obligations lives on”.
