Lisbon City Council approves proposal to provide rapid tests to Covid-19 in schools – Society

The Lisbon City Council approved this Thursday a proposal to test teachers, students and assistants in the city, using rapid screening tests for covid-19, after positive validation by Infarmed.

The document, considered in a private meeting of the executive and to which the Lusa agency had access, foresees “asking Infarmed to quickly clarify the validity and effectiveness of the most appropriate rapid test to be used in the school community to ensure a correct application of the testing process, in conjunction with the Directorate-General for Health “, a point that was unanimously approved.

After “positive information” by Infarmed, the municipality, chaired by Fernando Medina (PS), should “develop a general program for the provision of rapid tests to covid-19 by the CML [Câmara Municipal de Lisboa], to the professionals of the educational communities and to the students of the municipality of Lisbon “.
