Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEI’s) can buy a zero kilometer car with up to 30% off. The reduction is a result of the reduction in the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS). This is one of the advantages that the Federal Government offers for the category.
Renault, Volkswagen, Chevrolet and Fiat are examples of automakers that offer special conditions. Discounts vary from 2.5% to 30%, as there is no pre-established percentage for the reduction. Therefore, each of these companies will decide how much to grant to its customers.
However, whoever proves the use of the car for job you can get bigger discounts. In this case, the entrepreneur needs to be even more attentive in relation to vehicle documentation. As it will be directly linked to the company, if there is a lack of regularization, restrictions can be placed on the name of the entrepreneur and also on the company.
It is worth mentioning that in order to be entitled to offers, the interested party must have the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) and must fall into the category of microentrepreneur. That is, having annual income up to R $ 81 thousand.
In addition, the MEI is required to keep the car for at least one year. The criterion was created by the National Council for Farm Policy to avoid buying a cheaper vehicle to be resold later at market price.
