According to the most recent rumors, Microsoft acquired Ubisoft.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella himself says that the company will buy more studios since “you can’t wake up from scratch and create studios from scratch”. Of course, Microsoft has already created studios from “zero” like The Initiative, but it is much more complete and laborious than buying studios with games already in development and established culture.
Maybe it’s an integration with the Xbox Game Pass, remembering that Ubisoft has a subscription for more than +100 games in the catalog for PC and Google Stadia! games may be included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog, just like EA PLAY.
In 2020, Ubisoft announced that the Uplay + subscription can be used within Google Stadia, a game streaming service.
