The Epidemiological Surveillance of Jundia, organ of the Health Promotion Management Unit (UGPS), informs that next Saturday (17), the “D Day” for Vaccination against Polio and Multivacination for Updating the Child and Adolescent Handbook will be held.
The offer will be of doses included in the vaccination schedule for children between 0 and young people up to 14 years old, according to the identification of the need. The passbook will be checked and, if necessary, the vaccines recommended according to age will be applied.
For children aged 1 to 4 years, an additional dose of the polio vaccine will be applied in order to reduce the risk of reintroduction of poliovirus in the country.
According to the nurse of the Epidemiological Vigilance (VE), Maria do Carmo Possidente, the teams are prepared to provide care safely, in eight Basic Health Units (UBSs), which will work from 8 am to 5 pm, exclusively for vaccination. They are:

– Eloy Chaves
– Jundia Mirim
– New Horizon
It also reinforces the importance of the population to take more advantage of this opportunity and to attend, always having the Vaccination Card in hand.
