Despite a small increase in the last three days, the number of patients with a positive diagnosis of Covid-19 in beds in Intensive Care Units (ICUs) in Porto Alegre decreased by 13.82% over the last 30 days. On September 25, there were 282 hospitalizations and, until Monday afternoon, there were 243, the number of hospitalizations that is similar to that seen in the second half of July. In addition, 24 patients with suspected disease were also in the ICUs of the Capital and another 12, confirmed, were waiting for beds in hospital emergencies.
The general occupancy rate of ICUs in Porto Alegre, on Monday afternoon, was 84.94%. The hospitals with the highest number of ICU admissions related to the new coronavirus were, respectively: the Hospital de Clínicas, with 53 patients being 50 confirmed and three suspected; the Santa Casa Hospital Complex, with 41 patients, 35 of whom were confirmed and six suspected, and the Moinhos de Vento Hospital, with 34 patients, all with a positive diagnosis from Covid-19.
