Santa Catarina lost another health professional to Covid-19. Nursing technician Raquel Budal Arins, 46, died on Friday (16). The diagnosis of coronavirus was confirmed in a daily bulletin from the city of Joinville, in the north of the state.
Born in Joinville and graduated from the Maria Carola Keller Health School, she has worked at Hospital São José since March 2020. Raquel is leaving two daughters.
After her death, the Santa Catarina Nursing Council (Coren-SC) issued a note of regret: “It will leave the team that admired her for her dedication and work a lot. The confrontation of this disease requires everyone’s efforts”, said the text.

She is the ninth nursing professional to die after contracting the virus in the state. In Joinville, two other servers have already died from the virus.
Over 500 diagnosed professionals
According to the Nursing Council, there are 598 nursing professionals diagnosed with Covid-19 in the State. Professionals are quarantined. Another 10, according to Coren, are hospitalized.
