OnePlus is ready to launch a new high-end smartphone. I speak, of course, of the OnePlus 8T. I remember that the launch is already confirmed for October 14th. At the moment, we are not in the dark. That is, there are already several leaks and even official confirmations about the new device. However, design is the least talked about detail. Anyway, the doubts are over. Is that Case-Mate showed the new cover for the OnePlus 8T on its official website and ended up revealing the design.
OnePlus 8T: cover image confirms the final details!
The listing on the website shows a transparent cover that appears to be quite thin. It also reveals the camera configuration of the OnePlus 8T. We know that it will be a quadruple camera in a rectangular shape placed in the upper left corner of the rear panel, instead of being in the center.
However the smartphone has a dual LED flash that guarantees better low-light photos.
Unlike OnePlus 8, the new model receives a flat screen, instead of rounded. Thus, OnePlus may have been inspired by Samsung, which also provided the Galaxy Note 20 with a flat screen and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition.
The 6.55-inch size and Full HD + resolution remain the same. However, the refresh rate changes to 120 Hertz, instead of 90Hz. So this higher refresh rate is a great way to watch movies or play games. Last year, OnePlus was the first manufacturer to implement a 90 Hz panel on the 7 Pro.
Meanwhile the new OnePlus smartphone will have a screen with a hole located in the upper left corner. Presumably, it is a 32 megapixel image sensor. However, the camera system at the rear should also undergo some changes. There is talk of a system of quadruple chambers. The main camera is a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera. In addition we have another ultra wide angle of 16. Then the highlight goes to a macro camera of 5 and another one of depth with 2.
The first photo of the front has already appeared online in August. Dutch designer Jermaine Smit, also known as Concept Creator, made a video in collaboration with LetsGoDigital in which the new model is shown.
Supposedly, the OnePlus 8T 5G is powered by the extremely powerful Snapdragon 865+. However, several variants are available. Probably 8 GB of RAM / 128 GB of ROM and 12 GB of RAM / 256 GB of ROM. Immediately after launch, the new smartphone runs the new Android 11 operating system, on which is OxygenOS 11.
The OnePlus seems to equip its new model T with a 4,500 mAh battery – 200mAh more than the OnePlus 8. In addition, the 8T supports the extra fast charging technology.
Wired charging is probably compatible with a maximum charging power of not less than 65 Watt – comparable to the Oppo Find X2 (Pro). This is a significant update compared to the 30W fast charging technology that can be found on the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. Wireless charging should only be present on the OnePlus 8 Pro model.
At the bottom is the USB-C port. The SIM card slot and a speaker are also here. The microphone is placed at the top. However, there is also an elongated button on the left side and two buttons on the right side.
In terms of price and availability, the official launch will be on October 14, 2020. The launch event takes place digitally.
