Although the changes implemented by Apple in its new generation of smartphones have made some people more excited than others, it seems that the demand for the new iPhone 12 in Taiwan is being a success.
According to the website DigiTimes, Taiwanese operator ChungHwa Telecom sold all of its pre-order units of the models available in just 45 minutes. It was revealed that almost two thirds of the models ordered, more precisely 65% of the pre-order volume, were destined for the common iPhone 12, showing a greater focus from local consumers for the 6.1-inch model and two cameras.
Sources linked to the operator Far EasTone revealed that the pre-sale of the models is three times higher than last year with the iPhone 11, with a balanced demand between the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro.
Of course, it is important to remember that Taiwan is a small country and represents a tiny portion of the world population, but it is important to note that, at least there, interest in the new iPhones does not seem to have diminished. In any case, it will still be necessary to wait for more countries to start pre-selling so that we can see, in fact, how the iPhone 12 family will perform worldwide.
For now only iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are available for purchase with delivery in October. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max, the smallest and largest model of 2020, will launch on November 13.
