Manchester United – Tottenham 1-4 (pause)
Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s men have had a nightmare round against Tottenham. It is 4-1 to the away team, and the hosts have had Anthony Martial sent off.
The match’s big talking point has been the expulsion to Martial.
Just before a corner for the away team, Totteham’s Eric Lamela put an elbow in Martial’s face whereupon the Frenchman lit up and slapped back. Lamela lay down on the ground and held on to her face. The match leader, Anthony Taylor, did not need a long time to think before drawing the red card to Martial.
– It is very thin to agree, TV 2’s commentators said about the incident and believe Eric Lamela was the one who provoked it all.
Shortly afterwards, it was going to go from bad to worse for the home team, and again it was a solid mistake behind Manchester United. Erik Bailly gave the ball away and Son could serve Kane who put the ball in goal.
3-1 would five minutes later become 4-1. Once again, it was Son who was to put the ball in goal.
– It is a nightmare for Manchester United and a nightmare for Solskjær, said TV 2’s expert commentator Nils Johan Semb.
Manchester United will have a very difficult task to turn this around in the second half.
