The Secretary of State for Health (SES) of Rio de Janeiro recorded, this Friday (16), more than 3 thousand new cases and almost 100 new deaths by Covid-19.

The state reached 19,654 deaths and 289,440 confirmed cases.

The moving average of deaths (62 per day) continues to tend towards stability, for the third consecutive day. It was -11% compared to two weeks ago.

The moving average of cases (1,051) fell for the second consecutive day (-38%).

Experts consider that the percentage of up to 15% variation in the moving average – positive or negative – points to a trend towards stability.
