Samsung surprised in 2020 by announcing the increase in support for updates for numerous of its devices, with a possibility of up to three generations of Android in models from the Galaxy A51 to the most premium of the company. Now, a new pleasant surprise: the Galaxy A71 is receiving version 2.5 of the One UI interface, promised only for the top of the line.
With firmware number A715FXXU3ATI8, the installation files add up to about 1 GB and are available in “dozens of countries”, according to the SamMobile website, which, however, did not list any specific region. The update brings the October security package, as well as improvements to the camera, Samsung Keyboard and a new feature to share location via SMS for emergencies.
One UI 2.5 was initially announced for the Galaxy S and Note models from the Galaxy S10. Surprisingly, the update arrives on the Galaxy A71, at least in some markets.
To check if your Galaxy device has an update available to download and install, you can go to Settings and then tap Software Update, then tap Download and Install. Or wait for a notification to appear on your device.
Do you have the Galaxy A71? If so, let us know in the comments if you received the update for One UI 2.5.
