Saturday (17) will be the D-day of the multivaccination campaign for children and adolescents up to 15 years deity. Immunization will be carried out in all 71 health units in Campo Grande, which will operate from 7 am to 5 pm.
In addition to the multivaccination to update the vaccination card, a booster dose of the polio vaccine will be given to children aged 12 months to under 5 years. “It is extremely important that children, especially in this age group, attend the units, so that we do not have the return of a disease that has been extinct in Brazil since the 1980s, similar to what happened with measles last year”, explains the municipal health secretary, José Mauro Filho.
All vaccines in the child and adolescent schedule will be offered with the aim that their coverage, which in some cases is below that recommended by the Ministry of Health, is expanded.

Children aged between 12 months and under 5 years of age may be vaccinated against polio, that of the droplet. The latest campaigns to prevent childhood paralysis, a disease caused by polio, took place in 2015 and 2018.
Children and adolescents up to 15 years old must go to the health units to confirm that their vaccination cards are up to date and, if not, to take the doses that are open. As the two campaigns are of immunobiologicals that are present in the child’s vaccination calendar, there is no target set for the public to be vaccinated.
