The city of Toledo again registered a considerable number of cases of the new Coronavirus (Covid-19), this Saturday (17). In total there were 21 more cases, with 21 people recovered from the disease. The data was announced this afternoon through the daily newsletter of the Emergency Operations Committee (COE), and the Municipal Health Secretariat.
This Saturday, the municipality of Toledo had another 21 cases of Coronavirus registered. Among them, five were discovered in the Unified Health System (SUS), and 16 were identified in the Private Health System.
All five cases from SUS were detected through RT-PCR exams, involving four male and one female.
Another 16 cases were registered in the Private Health System, 11 of which were diagnosed through RT-PCR exams (08 female and 03 male). Another five cases were diagnosed by means of rapid tests (03 male and 02 female).
The best news of the day was related to the good number of people who entered the newsletter as recovered from Covid-19. In all, 21 more people were cured and now the municipality has 5,774 residents who have overcome the disease.
Bed occupancy rate
In the coverage area of the 20th Health Regional of Toledo, there are two hospitals that have exclusive beds for the care of patients who contracted the new Coronavirus.
The first one is the Moacir Micheletto Beneficent Hospital, in Assis Chateaubriand, which has 14 infirmary beds, three of which are occupied and 14 Intensive Care (ICU) beds, of which seven are occupied.
The other Health Unit in the region to have exclusive beds for the care of Covid-19 patients is the Bom Jesus Hospital, in Toledo, which has 24 ICU beds, of which 13 are unavailable.
The total bed occupancy rate in the 20th Health Regional is 21.53% of the infirmary beds and 52.63% of the ICU beds. The data are equivalent to patients hospitalized in the region until 11:00 am on October 17.
At the moment, the municipality of Toledo has 11,953 cases reported for the new Coronavirus, with 5,844 of them already discarded and 105 still under analysis. In total there are 6,004 residents of Toledo who tested positive for the new virus, with 5,774 recovered and 160 people who continue with the active virus, in addition to 70 people who lost their lives due to the disease.
Currently 21 citizens of Toledo are admitted to hospitals in the municipality and the region due to complications caused by Covid-19. Of these, nine are in nursing beds and 12 are in ICU rooms.
