When pictures of Billie Eilish (18) went viral, several had something to say about her body. It was not well received.
In recent years, 18-year-old Billie Eilish has become a pop sensation, not only for his music, but for his stylish and loose-fitting clothes, and for his opinions on normalizing the body.
The star has been open about not wanting to wear tight-fitting clothes to avoid comments about her body.
But then paparazzi photos of Billie Eilish wearing something more snug, singlet and shorts, went viral. It reports US media, including Today.
This led to a number of comments on social media about the 18-year-old’s body. One person should have commented on Twitter:
“In ten months, Billie Eilish has developed the body of a wine mother in her 30s,” according to Billboard.
It has created reactions. Among other things, actress Kat Dennings took to Twitter in solidarity with Eilish.
– Beautiful and normal
The actor asks everyone who reacts to Eilish to have a normal body to take a long look at himself.
– Like someone who looked exactly like her age; it would have been nice if this unhealthy nonsense went straight to hell. She is beautiful and normal, goodbye, it says in the Twitter message to Dennings.
Eilish has also, in a way, answered those who “body-hammer” her. On Instagram’s story function, she shared influencer Chizi Duru’s video, which is about normalizing real bodies.
– You have to start normalizing real bodies, says Duru in the clip, and adds:
– Stomach is normal. Breasts sag, especially after breastfeeding. Instagram is not real.
On Thursday, Duru took to her Instagram story to talk about her video going viral after Eilish shared it.
– I know why she shared the video, because literally not everyone looks the same, and social media has really turned upside down what we believe is a normal body. Please leave (Eilish) alone.
