Surprise! OneUI 2.5 arrives on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9

There are smartphones that are truly good, despite the years they are. For me, both the Galaxy S9, as the Note 9, and even 8, are on that list. However, some have the advantage of receiving last-minute gifts. That is exactly what happened with the Galaxy Note 9. Having said that and although this equipment has already reached the end of the line with regard to update, behold, when no one expected the OneUI 2.5 for Note 9 arrived!

Surprise! OneUI 2.5 arrives on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9

It is true that now Samsung has decided to bet on a three-year update policy. This is really excellent. However it has no retroactive effects and as such, the Galaxy Note 9 was left out. Also because the last device to have no hole in the screen came with Android Oreo 8.1.

The new update is now available in Germany and will now reach other European markets. In fact, we must be talking about days or even hours.

This is really great news.

This way, whoever has a Galaxy Note 9 will be entitled to capabilities such as support for wireless DeX. As it is easy to understand, it allows you to use DeX on any TV that supports screen mirroring (although Samsung naturally suggests using its own Smart TV). The camera has also been updated with new features. The single take mode now allows you to select the recording duration and can select the video recording resolution and frame rate (24, 30 and 60 fps) in the Pro video mode. However, the Samsung Keyboard app has been improved with a YouTube search function, as well as the option to use the split keyboard in landscape mode. Finally, the Messages application has a new feature that allows you to send SOS messages every 30 minutes for 24 hours.

I remember that the Galaxy S20 range was the first to receive the One UI 2.5 update. More specifically the firmware G981BXXU4BTH5, G986BXXU4BTH5 and G988BXXU4BTH5 for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra, respectively. Meanwhile and as if this good news was not enough, Samsung is also working on updating Android 11 for the S20.

Returning to the Galaxy Note 9, there are still no reports to reveal how the equipment was. Do you like Leak? We count on you! Follow us on Google News. Click here and then Follow.
