List victory A. Patrick Morais de Carvalho was reelected yesterday president of Belenenses. Running the Restelo club since 2014, the 50-year-old will now serve a new mandate for the 2020/2023 triennium. An election that took place with complete normality and tranquility in Restelo and that counted on the vote of 1460 blue members.
The lawyer won with 63.5 percent of the vote, in front of Luís Figueiredo, candidate of List C, with 27 percent. In third position, with 7.8 percent, was Carlos Canhoto Fernandes, from List B.
«I think that, finally, after six years, we have the conditions to be able to have peace in Belenenses and, all together, take the club without debt until the professional tests. When we get there, we will have a competitive advantage over all other SADs, technically bankrupt, ”he said.
Then he stressed the importance of voting again: “It was necessary to clarify the future of our institution. Today’s vote reveals that Belenenses’ members are people of character, honor and principles. It is not the entire membership that has the possibility of being in the I Liga and makes an option of this dimension. »
Like Patrick Morais de Carvalho, also Pedro Pestana Bastos and João Morão were reappointed as chairmen of the Board of the General Meeting and of the Supervisory and Disciplinary Board (CFD), respectively.
