Kazumasa Habu, producer in Bandai Namco, announced that Digimon Survive, A tactical RPG featuring digital monsters, has been postponed to 2021. While not mentioning the COVID-19 pandemic as one of the factors behind the delay, the developer said that “current events in the world“forced them to push the launch for next year.
“We thank everyone for their continued patience as we work to create a fun and engaging tactical RPG along with a memorable story for Digimon fans. We will share exciting news about Digimon Survive in the second quarter of 2021, so stay tuned for more information.“, Habu declared.
Initially promised for 2019 and later postponed to 2020, Digimon Survive will be a turn-based combat RPG. The game will have elements of visual novel and the player’s decisions will impact the events of the plot.
The game is starred by four Digieschosen that arrive in the digital world and start to interact with the friendly little monsters. Digimon Survive has been announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One e Nintendo Switch; it has not yet been announced whether the game will reach the next generation of consoles.
